On July 18, the undefeated Charlotte Hornets faced the San Antonio Spurs in the Summer League. In the end, thanks to the comprehensive performance of the fourth pick Con Knupper , the Hornets defeated the Spurs 106-81, won consecutive victories and successfully secured a place in the semifinals of the playoffs.
